NATIONAL APPRENTICESHIP WEEK 2021

Building the Future with Apprenticeships

This year’s National Apprenticeship Week, a week-long celebration of apprenticeships, will run from 8th to 14th February.

The annual event, now in its 14th year, aims to shine a light on the amazing work being done by employers and apprentices across the UK, particularly during this challenging time.

This year’s theme ‘Build the Future’ is at the heart of the campaign and encourages everyone to consider how apprenticeships help individuals to build the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career.

During the week, GP Strategies will be sharing success news and stories to celebrate the positive impact of apprenticeships, promote the benefits of apprenticeships, and showcase the resilience of apprentices and employers during the COVID-19 pandemic. We will also be encouraging our apprentice employers to focus on and highlight how they:

  • TRAIN apprentices, and future proof their workforce and careers though apprenticeships.

  • RETAIN apprentices, gaining the skills and knowledge needed by the business, and seeing apprentices thrive, whilst having impact.

  • ACHIEVE a real return on investment from apprentices; realising the business benefits of apprenticeships, with apprentices progressing in their chosen careers.

Due to the pandemic and the reliance of virtual meetings and digital technologies, this year’s event will be different, but just as important!

If you’d like to get involved or already have plans to do something special, please get in touch. You can keep updated with all that’s going on throughout the week by following #NAW2021 #BuildTheFuture or by following us on social media Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
