FUNDED SHORT COURSES
 

GP Strategies delivers a range of nationally accredited qualifications that are eligible for government funding through the Adult Education Budget (AEB).
 

These courses range from entry level Functional Skills to Level 3 Diplomas across a number of locations and sectors including childcare and adult care.
 

About the Adult Education Budget
 

The AEB funds education and training for adults aged 19 and above and is a great resource to:

Funding criteria and eligibility
 

For learners to be eligible for the course they must:
 

Blue tick bulletBe aged 19 or above on 31st August within the 2021 to 2022 academic year

Blue tick bulletLive in England

Blue tick bulletHave lived within the EU for a minimum of 3 years

Blue tick bulletNot have already completed the qualification

Blue tick bulletNot be on any other funded training (e.g. apprenticeship)

Blue tick bulletReside in an area where AEB funding support is available – we will help you ascertain this by completing our contact form


In addition, to access a Level 3 Diploma course, learners must:
 

Blue tick bulletBe unemployed OR

Blue tick bulletearn under the national living wage (i.e. earn less than £18,525 annual gross salary) OR

Blue tick bulletearn above the national living wage, but do not already hold a full Level 3* or equivalent qualification or higher

 

* = Definition of a full level 3 qualification - Level 3 is the level of attainment which is demonstrated by a:

  • GCE at the advanced (A) level in 2 subjects

  • GCE at the AS level in 4 subjects

  • QAA Access to Higher Education (HE) Diploma at level 3

  • Technical, or applied general qualification at level 3

  • Core maths at level 3
