Our short innovative traineeship programmes are making a difference in local communities and last between 1 and 12 weeks.  These programmes offer young people aged 16-24 the opportunity to develop the skills and workplace experience their employers require, along with recognised Maths and English qualifications. Who are traineeship programmes for?

Traineeships are for young people in England aged 16-24 looking to enter the world of work, improve their skills, learn new ones and start a career.

What is involved in a traineeship programme?

A GP Strategies Training Limited (GPSTL) traineeship programme will last between 1 and 12 weeks and is made up of three elements:

  • A work placement
  • An English and Maths qualification
  • Work preparation activity – such as interview training

What happens after the traineeship programme?

Once the programme is complete individuals start their working life, we also offer apprenticeship programmes where appropriate and referrals for other professional development courses. 

Whilst the programme may last 12 weeks, we support trainees for as long as necessary.
