Entry requirements
 

There are no formal entry requirements but candidates should have completed the Software and Web Development Modern Apprenticeship at SCQF Level 6, an equivalent qualification or extensive industry experience.

Progression
 

After completing this Modern Apprenticeship, employees will have the skills and knowledge to work in management or other senior positions across a range of areas such as web development, software development and application software. They can also progress to further study such as an honours or master’s degree. 
 

Funding and financial support
 

Skills Development Scotland will contribute towards the training costs.  For apprentices aged 16-19 years, apprenticeship training costs are 100% funded. For apprentices aged 20-24 years, a proportion of the training costs will be covered with employers meeting the rest.
